Depuis un moment, je voulais voir ce café à chat, suite à un article dans le "Bristol Post". Ayant déjà 2 chats à la maison et étant une grande passionnée par ces animaux domestiques, j'avais juste l'envie de découvrir par moi-même ce concept où tu peux prendre un thé, manger un gâteau et jouer avec un chat (si tu en as envie). Rendez-vous pris avec mon amie Pauline qui elle est aussi à 2 chats et aussi passionnée que moi par ces êtres si doux !

For a while, I wanted to see this cat cafe in Bristol after an article in the "Bristol Post". Having already 2 rescued cats at home and a great passion for these pets I just wanted to discover by myself this concept where you can have tea, eat a cake and play with a cat (if you have any desire). I was with my friend Pauline who is also 2 cats and as passionate as me by these cats who are so sweet!

You will find all the necessary information and above all we can learn more about the concept and the rules to respect. We just reserve the date and time that suits us and when arriving on the spot we must pay a ticket of £5. After free to sit and take a hot or cold drink and enjoy this zen bubble and a sweet environement where cats are happy, sleep quietly or approaching you and invite you to play cuddling.
Après avoir payé les £5, la jeune femme (qui ce jour là avait rangé son sourire dans sa poche) nous ouvre la porte et là tu te retrouves dans une jungle de chats (fausse jungle hein !) où l'on se met déjà dans l'ambiance avec une musique zen et le Patron des chat (la seconde image du milieu juste au dessus) qui t'accueille un peu comme la jeune femme qui avait rangé son sourire. On nous met de suite en garde en nous disant : "De ne pas le toucher, ni de le caresser car Monsieur le patron n'aime pas ça !!" Bon et bien, nous ferons attention alors !
Malgré cet avertissement, on s'y sent bien car la musique aidant et les quelques miaulements nous mettent dans l'ambiance. Je vois arriver 1 chaton et puis un autre trop trop mignon et là, j'ai déjà oublié le Patron des chats.
Les chats se baladent, jouent ensemble pendant que d'autres roupillent. C'est le genre de choses qui me rend heureuse et c'est tellement doux le bruit que je suis heureuse de me poser et de commander un bon thé avec Pauline. On papote toutes les deux et puis on observent les chats. Quel moment relaxant !!
After paying the £5 the young woman (who that day had arranged his smile in his pocket) opens the door and you find yourself in a jungle of cats (false jungle eh!) Where we already put in the mood with Zen music and the Cat's boss (the second image in the middle just above) that welcomes you a little like the young woman who had arranged her smile. We are immediately warned by saying: "Do not touch it, or caress it because the boss does not like it!" Well, we'll be careful then!
Despite this warning we feel good there because the music helping and the few meows put us in the mood. I see arrive 1 kitten and then another too cute and there I already forgot the cat's boss. Cats roam, play together while others crawl. This is the kind of thing that makes me happy and it's so sweet the noise that I'm happy to ask myself and order a good tea with Pauline. We chatter both and then we watch the cats. What a relaxing moment !!
De ce que je me souviens après avoir lu le "Bristol Post", la créatrice de ce café à chat avait mené une campagne de crowdfunding et elle avait recolté ainsi £20000. Les chats ont tous été adopté et sauvés. L'ambiance zen et la déco asiatique jusqu'aux toilettes aident très sûrement les chats à se sentir mieux et heureux. Ils n'avaient pas du tout l'air en stress et que ce soit la nourriture ou bien de des bols d'eau étaient à leurs disposition. De grands arbres à chats, des aires de jeux, des jouets étaient présent un peu partout entre l'entrée et la salle principale. Ce que j'ai aimé, c'est aussi le fait que nous étions peu de personnes et du coup, nous étions libre d'approcher les chats quand on voulait.
From what I remember after reading the "Bristol Post", the creator of this cat cafe had conducted a crowdfunding campaign and she had raised £ 20,000. The cats were all adopted and rescued. The zen atmosphere and the Asian decor down to the toilet help cats to feel better and happier. They did not have any stress at all and either food or bowls of water were at their disposal. Large cat trees, playgrounds, toys were everywhere between the entrance and the main hall. What I liked was also the fact that we were few people and suddenly, we were free to approach cats when we wanted.
J'ai aimé cette parenthèse féline car tout d'abord, j'ai partagé ce moment avec une amie mais surtout j'ai aimé le concept sans que cela soit trop tape à l'oeil comme j'avais pu le voir lors des mes voyages en Asie où j'avais l'impression que d'avoir des chats dans une pièce étaient très commercial. Bien évidemment, derriere ce concept il y a un business mais il vaut mieux voir des chats qui sont pris en charge et aimé que de les voir dehors, non ? Ce que je trouve aussi intéressant c'est aussi un moment de détente et surtout si des gens ne peuvent pas avoir d'animaux chez eux et bien c'est une bonne alternative pour en profiter en dehors de chez soi.

I liked this feline parenthesis because first of all I shared this moment with a friend but especially I liked the concept without it being too flashy as I could see it during my trips to Asia where I felt like having cats in a room were very commercial. Of course, behind this concept there is a business but it is better to see cats who are cared for and loved than to see them outside, right ? What I find also interesting is also a moment of relaxation and especially if people can not have animals at home and it is a good alternative to enjoy it outside of home.
