Street Art in Bristol with Where the Wall - 2016

Street Art from "Banksy" (at the bottom of Park street / College Green)

Since my childhood I always had an interest in art and I still love the period of the Impressionist like Van Gogh especially who had a particular life mixed between passion and madness. But also Claude Monet which for me is the king of the sweetness and landscapes as beautiful as each other. But since I live in Bristol, I discovered another art style street which is called so well in English 'Street Art'. I am hypnotise by this open air museum because at every step, I simply look up to discover different angles of each piece of art.

To pass and repass before certain pieces of art, I wanted to know more because it is not enough to stop and contemplate this drawing but I think it is also important to know a little more about the author and the real definition it wishes to transmit to each person that passes before his masterpiece.

On one of the wall of the Radisson Blu hotel on the harbourside, we can see the work of Cheograff representing the famous characters of Wallace and Gromit and you can see Shaun the sheep.

I had the opportunity to do this visit with "Where the wall" which has 3 sections guided tour by passionate artists to explore street art and graffiti in different area such as Central Bristol Stokes Croft and South Bristol.

I was fortunate to have Tina Altwegg who is a passionate guide (This is an artist from Zurich and located in Bristol for 8 years. Her artist name is www.wingedfoxdesigns.co.uk Winged Fox and guess what she speak french...yeah ;-)
During the day I met other bristol's bloggers  and it was really nice to do this in a group because we all have different ideas about art.

Here Tina who presents a piece of the artist JPS (which is often compared to Banksy).

With our guide Tina I made the Central Bristol's visit for 2 hours 30 (10:30 to 13:00). The tour was so exciting and the sun being there, I would have loved to have a longer visit because there are so many stories behind each street art. The visit was also interactive for both adults and children because we were able to ask a lot of questions and also take a picture with the artwork.

Starting from College Green for the meeting point, we walked to the center, broadmead and stokes croft for discovering several parts you can see in the slideshow below.

Obviously I do not want to put everything here in my article because I want you to have the same "Wahoooo expression" as me when you will find a piece of art on the street.
